Tapaus x DDB – Business Sk8 for Good

TAPAUS x DDB – Business Sk8 For Good with Tony Hawk

TAPAUS and DDB together with Tony Hawk will organize a charity skateboarding event called Business Sk8 For Good where the next generation of business influencers come together in a mini ramp jam. The event will take place on Friday the 7th of October at Nordic Business Forum 2016 held in Helsinki fair centre / Messukeskus. The contest finals will be judged by one of the keynote speakers of Nordic Business Forum 2016 and a living legend of the sport, Mr. Tony Hawk.

The idea

Our goal is to bring the next generation of business influencers together in a good-spirited skateboarding charity event. While having fun and networking our aim is to generate funds that help to enable the experience of skateboarding for the coming generations. This effort is created to spread the creative and positive vibe of skateboarding to the next generation. Join in and let your staff shred for your company.Good session. Good times. For a good cause.

The Event

In the afternoon of the second seminar day of Nordic Business Forum 2016 we will start the event by watching Tony Hawk’s keynote via video stream together. After that we will have a miniramp jam with qualifications, finals and a good time. The ramp is located in the partner area of the Nordic Business Forum 2016 event. The miniramp specifications will be: Transition: around 2,3 m Height: around 1,4m with two extensions Width: around 5,5 m and Flatground: 2,8 m. Find the event from Facebook.

The Charity

All the funds from the registration fees will be channeled in total through The Finnish Skateboarding association. They will turn those resources into Classes for beginners, tutors, equipment for classes, more events  and basically support and scale the good work of ”Skeittipaku” which has operated with very limited resources so far. What if you are down for the good cause but nobody in your company skates? No worries! We have set up a ”Shred For Hire” sponsorship service where your company can adopt legendary Finnish skaters to represent your company.
